West Point is Studying Operation Husky!

John Hannan, Director of Outreach for the IFPSP and stand-in camera guy for this shot was with Steve Gregory to deliver a one-of-a-kind map of all Allied movements in Sicily to Associate Professors of History Jason Musteed and Kara Irvin of West Point Military Academy. Kara will be at the Forum in 2023! All first year West Point Cadets will be required to study Operation Husky and from the papers that they generate we will likely have a more than one submission to the History Panel in our 2023 Forum March 28th. The beautiful map was the work of Angelo Plumari, a long time, selfless volunteer on the Op Husky 2023 project team in Sicily. More of Angelo’s work will be featured in November when we launch our Guidebook for the 325 KM walking trail called the Walk for Remembrance Peace.

The presentation was organized by John Melkon, Director at West Point’s Center for the Study of Civil-Military Operations and active member of the IFPSP Academic Committee. Thank you to John Melkon for organizing and John Hannan for offering to snap this shot!
